About GCWCC
The annual Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) brings together federal employees and retirees from coast to coast to coast, to support those who need help most in our communities.
As we are all aware, our work at Health Canada gives us a unique perspective of the diverse needs in communities across the country. The GCWCC is just one of the many ways that we can help and support those organizations on the frontline as they provide the services that make a difference in the lives of so many Canadians.
By choosing to designate to which organization you wish to donate to (HealthPartners, United Way/Centraide or any of the more than 86,000 charitable organizations registered with the Canada Revenue Agency) you can support a cause that is very personal to you.
Why Support GCWCC?
As one of the largest and most successful workplace fundraising campaigns in Canada, the GCWCC has a direct impact on helping to improve the quality of life of people across the country. It offers us an opportunity, in one campaign, to touch the lives of others by supporting any of the thousands of registered charities that fall within your interest, your local United Way, all or any of the HealthPartners agencies.
Why Should You Give
to the GCWCC?
You can help others: the GCWCC is about rallying public servants and retirees to support the communities in which we live and work and to help others achieve a quality of life most of us take for granted.

You can choose: You can choose to support any registered charity. There are a wide range of social, health and community agencies and organizations - large and small - that offer essential services in our communities.
Giving is easy!: You can choose to give through payroll deduction, spreading your donation out over the year and, therefore, minimizing campaign administrative costs. At the end of the year, the amount appears directly on your T4 - no need to keep track of charitable receipts.

It's quick and convenient: Participating in the GCWCC offers donors the convenience and efficiency of consolidating annual giving through one transaction on a single online form. Through a centralized, streamlined administrative system, GCWCC donations are processed very efficiently.
The administration fees are low: Administration fees through the GCWCC are one of the lowest in the charitable sector, at 15% versus the national average of 26%.
